What is Script Builder?
Script Builder V2 is a complete production studio for creating professional narration, voiceovers, and timed subtitles — all from within Veediogram. It replaces the old linear workflow with a 5-tab studio interface:

1Choosing a Mode
The Mode tab is the first thing you see. It lets you choose a Specialized Mode that tailors the AI script generation, recommended voices, and pacing for your specific content type.

Mode tip
You can switch modes at any time before generating your script. Each mode adjusts the AI prompt, recommended voices, and default pacing to match your content style.
2Generating & Editing Scripts
The Script tab is where you create and refine your narration.
Creating a New Script
- Navigate to Script Builder in the sidebar
- Click "+ New Script" in the top-right corner
- On the Script tab, choose how to start:
- Upload a video — The AI will analyze your video and generate a matching narration
- Enter a topic — Describe what you want and let the AI generate a script
- Paste content — Bring your own text and enhance it
- Select a tone (professional, conversational, dramatic, etc.)
- Click "Generate" and wait for the AI to create your script
Editing Your Script
Once generated, the script appears as a line-by-line editor:
- Click on any line to edit the text directly
- Use the "AI Rewrite" button to improve a specific line
- Lock lines you're happy with — locked lines won't be modified during rewrites
- Drag lines to reorder them
- Delete lines you don't need

Script tip
Keep sentences short and clear (under 15 words). This helps the AI voice sound more natural and makes subtitles easier to read.
3Adding AI Voiceovers
The Voice tab gives you access to a full voice library with multiple providers.
- Open the "Voice" tab
- Browse the voice library — voices are filtered based on your selected mode:
- OpenAI voices — Included with Creator plan
- ElevenLabs voices — Premium quality, Pro plan
- Click a voice to select it — a preview panel shows the voice details
- Adjust Speed (0.5x–1.5x) to fine-tune delivery
- Click "Generate Voiceover" to produce the audio
👩 Female voices
Alloy, Shimmer, Nova, Rachel, Sarah
👨 Male voices
Echo, Onyx, Fable, Adam, Drew, Josh
Voice status
After generating, the status badge shows: GENERATING (in progress), COMPLETED (ready), or an error state. You can re-generate with a different voice at any time.
4Timeline Sync
The Timeline tab lets you synchronize script lines with your video timeline.
- Each script line appears on a visual timeline with start and end times
- Drag to adjust timing positions for each line
- Lock lines to prevent accidental timing changes
- If a voiceover has been generated, the audio waveform appears as a reference
- Total duration automatically updates as you adjust timings
Timeline tip
Generate a voiceover first for the most accurate timeline sync. The audio waveform helps you visually align narration with video scenes.
5Exporting Your Work
The Export tab gives you two export options:
Video Export
Export a complete video with your voiceover baked in. The export panel shows whether voiceover and subtitles are ready.
Subtitle Downloads
Download subtitle files for use in any video editor or web player:
SRT Format
Works with most video editors (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
VTT Format
Best for web players (YouTube, Vimeo, HTML5 video).
Accessibility tip
Subtitles help deaf/hard-of-hearing viewers and people watching without sound. They also improve video SEO!
Typical Workflow

Select a Mode
Choose Standard, Educational, or Product Demo based on your content type.

Generate Script
Upload a video or enter a topic on the Script tab. Click Generate.

Edit & Refine
Review each line. Lock good lines, rewrite weak ones.

Pick a Voice
Browse the Voice Library. Select a voice and speed, then generate voiceover.

Sync Timeline
Fine-tune when each line plays against your video.

Export
Download your video with voiceover, or export SRT/VTT subtitle files.

📝 Write naturally
Write like you're talking to a friend. The AI voice will sound more natural with conversational language.
🎯 Match voice to mode
Each mode recommends voices optimized for that content type. Trust the recommendations for best results.
🔒 Lock your favourites
Lock lines you like before running AI Rewrite. Locked lines will be preserved while the AI improves the rest.
⏱️ Keep it short
Shorter lines (under 15 words) are easier to follow, sound better as voiceovers, and subtitle more cleanly.
